Online Cutout Library
The online cutout library is a new feature as part of the release of version 3.12 of Protocase Designer. The libary is an online resource where you can search and download pre-made cutouts to use in your own designs. When you download a cutout it will be automatically imported into your Personal Cutout Library. If you feel something is missing you can either provide it or send a request to sales@protocase.com and they will see if we can add it to our library. Check back from time to time and it will grow in size.

Personal Cutout Library
The personal cutout library has been through a serious redesign in version 3.12. It now allows exporting/ importing of cutouts so that they can be shared with peers, downloading/ uploading to the Online Cutout Library, and importing from dxf files. Finally, you can back up and restore copies of your library.
  • Note: it is a good idea to back up the cutout library on occasion if you do a lot of work. Select backup library from the cutout library menu.
  • Note: dxf file import has some restrictions. cutouts should be complete, only consist of rectangles, circles, lines, and arcs, not have overlapping contours, and anything that is not part of the cutout should not be of line type Continuous.
  • Note: any cutouts found in the port category will be available from the place->ports menu in the face editor.
