Case Size Limitations:
- Rackmounts:
- Height: 1U to 9U
- Depth: 2" to 46" (50.8mm to 1168mm)
- U-Shape Boxes:
- Height 1" to 22" (25.4mm to 558.8mm)
- Width: 1" to 46" (25.4mm to 1168mm)
- Depth: 1" to 46" (25.4mm to 1168mm)
- Additionally, if the box is more than 3"x3"x3" (76.2mm cube) the width and depth each must be at least 2" (50.8mm) greater than the height
- L-Shape Boxes:
- Height 1.5" to 22" (38.1mm to 558.8mm)
- Width: 1" to 46" (25.4mm to 1168mm)
- Depth: 1" to 24" (25.4mm to 609.6mm)
- Additionally, if the box is more than 3"x3"x3" (76.2mm cube) the width and depth each must be at least 2" (50.8mm) greater than the height
- Flat Panels:
- max of 95"x47" (2413mm x 1193.8mm)
Notes on material thickness:
- Standoff and stud height is measured from the outside of the box. This means that the height of a standoff / stud has nothing to do with the material thickness.
- All measurements on the face editor are from the outside of the box. This means that you do need to take material thickness into account when trying to align a connector or board against the inside of the case.
To get the material thickness, email sales@protocase.com with the type (aluminum, cold rolled steel, etc) and the size &
style (u-shape, 20" wide, 10" high, 15" deep). They will get back to you with a material thickness.
